A typical morning in Germany: millions of coffee makers are filled with tap water; millions of cars are on their way to work. Hidden behind this is a lot of well-functioning infrastructure, rarely noticed. We at COPLAN, however, pay all the more attention to it.

Be it drinking water and wastewater drainage systems, estate development, energy and media supply or traffic concepts and road and bridge construction – all of this is part of our daily work. Demographic change is an additional factor posing ever new challenges.

We are familiar with these issues and offer solutions for the future.

Creation of a comprehensive community development plan with area development and landscape plan. During the development of a landscape plan, a property analysis with mapping was carried out. Simultaneously, building areas in parts of the municipal territory were examined. A further task was the definition of the municipality’s development cores as well as the formulation of approaches for a sustainable development.

Measure: Development and green space plan

Drafting of a development plan for planning security for the building of a truck stop as well as for industrial establishments. The allocation of areas is carried out according to the area development and landscape plan (government’s department for local planning). The premises are grassland with a high groundwater level. They are drained by several ditches. These should be largely conserved as green corridors able to retain surface water.

Measure: Environmental study

In the name of the Ilzer Land association, a water development plan for category III waters in the municipality of Perlesreut was created. It describes the preservation or restoration of a natural state of the waters and the immediately surrounding landscape, taking into account proactive flood protection.

Measure: Site developments and conversion: Building permit, sewer renovation, connection to infrastructure

After the American forces had left, the premise of the General-Flint-Kaserne (blue), with an area of 20 ha, was converted into a residential area and business park (red). To do this, the existing development plan and green space plan was changed and the area was connected to the main road by a turn lane. The treatment of the material from the deconstruction of streets and buildings and its reuse allowed cost reductions of up to 70 %.

The results of a geomantic survey according to Feng Shui criteria were included in the land-use planning for the housing estate Heising II in Neutraubling. The entire development of 16 ha with water, sewer and street construction as well as the street lighting and media coordination have been designed and implemented according to these criteria.

New construction of a central bus station that is integrated into the city center of Eggenfelden and has a bus stop shelter, five parallel bus stops and an adjoining car park. A particular focus was put on the landscape planning to achieve a harmonious result with the adjoining green belt.

Widening of the highway B16 near Neuburg Ost to a three-lane-road along a distance of 3.5 km. Additionally, a projection of the rerouting measures to district and municipal roads along 1.2 km that was necessary due to the extension was carried out.

Measure: New construction

The length of the construction is approx. 650 m. Berths for up to 8 vessels with a length of up to 130 m are created. Due to the highly varying water level with a delta of approx. 3.0 m between the low navigable water level and the highest navigable water level, one berth (approx. 100 m) is widened to a two-level pier. This guarantees the landing of smaller excursion boats with a single gang plank. There are 3 sections parallel to the quay wall and with a total width of 11.50 m, a path with water access, bus stopping lane and traffic lane. The shipping pier has been built from an anchored back steel sheet piling construction.

Renovation of the road surface with new construction of two left-turning lanes. The length was 7.8 km. Additionally, a bicycle lane parallel to the road along a distance of 3.7 km was built.

Measure: Renovation

The renovation of the Bischöflicher-Geistlicher-Rat-Josef-Zinnbauer-Straße, Wollerstraße and the environment of the medical center in Dingolfing are part of the renovation of the city center. The construction phase includes the square in front of the medical center, the integration of the Kirchgasse and Wollerstraße as well as the connections Marienplatz, Wollanger and Dr.-Josef-Hastreiter-Straße. The medical center is the optical center of the square. The square has been very generously designed and has a fountain that has been equipped with a very complex fountain technology.

Measure: Renovation

The renovation of the square Stadtplatz is the most important phase of the renovation of the entire city center of Eggenfelden. Some phases are already finished (e.g. Carcassonner Platz, Fischbrunnenplatz, ...) and after long and thorough discussions on the development of the traffic, park and recreational areas, the construction work started in April 2011. The utility and supply lines were checked and renewed, if necessary, in advance. For the whole square, high quality pavement is used in a way that corresponds to the heavy traffic and the design requirements.

Measure: Renovation

The renovation of the square Fischbrunnenplatz is part of the renovation of the entire city center of Eggenfelden. The phase includes the square Carcassonner Platz, the integration of the Straubinger Straße as well as the Kirchen- and Hafnergasse. The fountain “Hundling” is the optical center of the square and it required the installation of very complex fountain technology. The continuous use of granite gives the entire area – street and square – a harmonious look. Also the pedestrian area had a more generous design.

Measure: New construction

A road rehabilitation made the new construction of the Bina bridge near Schnatzling necessary. The clearance is 15 m, the width between the railings, 9 m. The bridge was built with 3 T-beams. Due to poor soil conditions, the bridge was built on bored piles.

Client: City of Dingolfing
Measure: New construction

Due to the poor condition of the original bridge over the Asenbach creek, the Sauerbruch bridge had to be completely renewed. The existing bridge was demolished and the new bridge rebuilt in the same place. This bridge construction was special due to the difficult geometrical form of the bridge and the restricted space at the construction site. It also had to be ensured that public traffic could continue to flow.

Measure: New construction

The construction measure consists of the new construction of the bridge over the Rott near Gottholbing to adapt the bridge that is no longer sufficient for modern traffic to be able to cope with higher load traffic in the future. The project increases the safety of the connection of the urban district of Gottholbing to the supralocal road network for all road users.

The new construction of the connecting road required a bridge over an inundation canal. In addition to the engineering works, the water rights procedure with hydraulic drainage calculations were carried out and the accompanying landscape plan with impact and compensation balance was created.
